Educational Improvement Tax Credit
Through its affiliation with the Community Foundation for the Alleghenies, the Berlin Brothersvalley School District Foundation is approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development to participate in the Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program. This program provides an incentive to businesses who contribute to education improvement organizations by providing tax credits in return for approved contributions. Up to 75% of the approved contribution can be recouped as a tax credit. For businesses making the same contribution for two successive years, the tax credit amount increases to 90%. These tax credits are applied directly to the business’ state tax liabilities.
