  • Camp Cadet of Somerset County William "Bob" Bastian Memorial Scholarship Fund This fund provides scholarship support for two $1,000 scholarships for graduating Somerset County seniors pursuing post-secondary education and who are graduates of Camp Cadet of Somerset County. For more information on this scholarship, contact your guidance counselor or Camp Cadet of Somerset County.

  • CAMP PARC HELPING HAND SCHOLARSHIP - The purpose of this scholarship is to provide resources to equip higher education-bound students who have excellent academic achievement and a record of outstanding service to Camp PARC.  In the spirit of People Always Responding with Compassion, the scholarship committee seeks well-rounded, kindhearted, and community-minded individuals who are interesrted in making a difference in our world.  Applicants must have served as a Junior Counselor, Peer Buddy, Childcare Counselor, Resident Staff Assistant, or a combination of these positions for a minimum of two years for the full duration of any of the camping sessions at Camp PARC in addition to or including the summer in which they apply for the scholarship.  Application deadline is June 21, 2020.   Click here to apply online.

  • HORATIO ALGER CAREER AND TECHNICAL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM - Receive up to $2,500.  For graduating high school seniors.  Criteria includes:  be enrolled in a 2 year or less career or technical degree/certificate program in the fall that will lead to employment, attend a not-for-profit post-secondary institution, demonstrate financial need-applicant must be Pell Grant eligible.  Interested seniors should apply on-line at www.application.horatioalger.org.  Application deadline is April 15, 2020.

  • MC KAIG - The LaLitta Nash McKaig Foundation offers a needs based scholarship for students who are residents
    of Bedford or Somerset County, PA; Mineral or Hampshire County, WV; or Allegany or Garrett
    County, MD; AND have obtained a high school education or equ.ivalency thereof in any of these
    counties.
    2. Applicant must be a full-time student at an accredited college or university in the United States.
    3 . The applicant or his/her immediate family cannot be an Ofiicer or Director of PNC Bank Corporati on, or any
    of its affiliates; or be in any way involved in the selec tion of scholarship recipients for the LaLitta Nash
    McKaig Foundation.

  • SETH LANDIS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP - This scholarship was created in memory of Seth Landis by his family.  The purpose of the scholarship is to provide financial assistance to qualified students pursuing post-secondary education at an accredited four-year college.  Experience or interest in agriculture, 4-H Club, or Future Farmers of America preferred, but not required.  Three $500 scholarships will be awarded, one each to a student at Berlin Brothersvalley, Meyersdale, and Somerset.  Application deadline is April 19, 2020.   Click here to apply online.

  • SMITH FAMILY "HEART OF A LION" MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP - This is a $500 scholarship.  Mr. Paul Smith was an honest and honorable man who believed it important to demonstrate his caring and compassion for others through community service.  This scholarship is for a senior who has the same commitment to community service and who plans to pursue their dream of a higher education.  Applicant must have a 2.5 or higher gpa and be accepted to a college, university, or technical/trade school.  Application and required information must be returned to the guidance office by April 20, 2020.

  • THREE RIVERS DESK AND DERRICK CLUB SCHOLARSHIP - A $500 scholarship for seniors.  Applicant must be accepted to a College or University,  or a Trade or Vocational degree program in an Educational Institution accredited, and located in Western Pennsylvania.   • WILLIAM R. LLOYD JR. SCHOLARSHIP- This scholarship is for a graduating senior of a Somerset County public high school enrolled in an accredited college or university who intends to major in Government, Political Science, or Politics.  This scholarship was endowed by former State Representative Bill Lloyd (D-Somerset) for the purpose of encouraging Somerset County students to pursue careers in public service.  The scholarship will be paid out in the winner's sophomore year of college and is renewable for their junior and senior years if certain eligibility requirements are met.  Application deadline is April 19, 2020.  Click here to apply online.
