Mrs. Christy McMillen was hired as the High School Counselor at Berlin Brothersvalley School District in 2001. 

Mrs. McMillen is a graduate of Chestnut Ridge High School.  She graduated with a B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Pittsburgh.  Mrs. McMillen taught both P-K and 6th grade before leaving education to work in the field of addictions.  During that time, she returned to Penn State University to obtain her Masters of Education Degree in Counseling with an emphasis on chemical dependency.  After counseling in addictions and private practice for 6 years, Mrs. McMillen decided it was time to get back into her education roots.  She returned to Indiana University of Pennsylvania to obtain her High School Counseling certification and was hired at BBHS shortly after.  Mrs. McMillen enjoys working with students and their parents. She views the role of the school couselor as an advocate for students and parents who provides:  academic advising, social and emotional support, acts as a parent resource, and assists students with college and career planning. 

Mrs. McMillen says, "Find the one thing you love, give it 100% and you will be AMAZING".

When not at school, Christy enjoys spending time outside with her family and friends, going on trips both near and far, and taking care of her horses. 

Mrs. Grasser is the high school guidance secretary.  She graduated from Berlin Brothersvalley High School in 1977.  She worked at Berlin Brothersvalley School District as an aide in the high school business program for seven months under a federal program and was then hired to work in the high school office for several years.  She moved to the high school guidance office when a position became available and has been there till present.  She enjoys working with students and people in general.  Her duties include working with transcripts, scholarships, report cards, grading, scheduling, etc.

In her free time Mrs. Grasser enjoys spending quality time with family and friends.
