College and Universities have specific requirements for GPA and ACT / SAT scores for incomming students.  They are also looking for students who have stepped out in their community and school to make a difference for others.  What is the best way to stand out from the crowd?  Participate in a  summer program, internship, or volunteer opportunity!   An internship or volunteer opportunity is also a great way to explore a field you might like to pursue in college.  You can gain experience and network with professionals in your area of interest.  These opportunities can be both fun and rewarding to you and the others whom are being served.
