Mr. Derek Hoyman
For parents and students checking here in regards to the three science packets sent home on Thursday, April 2nd:
My cover letter stated that my students have to complete the packets, including the nine section reviews, within the next three weeks. Considering the ever-changing situation, I am now extending this timeline to six weeks.
Completed work from the first packet, Rocks and the Rock Cycle, can be dropped off during the district's next pickup/dropoff day on Thursday, April 23. (NOTE: Preferred methods for submission of work are listed below)
If students have anything completed from the three current packets (Energy Resources, Earthquakes, or Volcanoes), they are welcome to drop that off on April 23 as well. However, nothing from the current packets will "officially" be due until the next pick-up/dropoff currently scheuled for Thursday, May 14th.
How to submit work:
1. PLEASE USE THIS METHOD: Students can use their school-assigned email to log-in and join my "Science 2020" Google Classroom (Code: l5iutfu). This platform allows me to quickly and easily interact with everyone, efficiently check and return student work, and also keep everyone up-to-date with anything that might pop up during this unique situation.
2. Alternate method: Take a snapshot of your child's work (only the section reviews are graded) and email it to me at email@example.com
3. Last resort method: Return paper copies to school during the scheduled days mentioned above.
