Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Jill Shubik

I am Jill Shubik and I teach high school English.   I earned my degree in Secondary English Education in 2007 at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. Shortly after, I got hired at Berlin as a 7-12 English teacher. I currently teach English 10 Honors, Career Prep English 11, English 10, as well as an elective poetry class. I am the sophomore class advisor and a member of the high school's SAP team.

My goal as a teacher is to help each student discover his/her path in life.  I provide my students with life's essential reading, writing, and speaking tools so that they can be successful and find happiness in whatever they do after high school.

I grew up in Somerset County and still reside here with my husband, Joe, and two daughters, Maelee and Gracie.  I feel very lucky to teach in this wonderful community.  I am proud to be a Berlin Mountaineer and to be a part of this great district.

 Go Mountaineers!
