Growing up just five minutes outside of Berlin, I attended BBSD as a student, and I'm proud to be a product of the very school district in which I now work.
First hired as an elementary teacher in 1998, I am now enjoying my 23rd year of teaching for the Berlin Brothersvalley School District. I currently teach life, earth, and physical sciences to seventh and eighth graders, but I've also had the pleasure of teaching students in grades 2-5.
Upon graduating from BBHS in 1994, I attended Lock Haven University where I earned my Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education. After joining the BBSD staff, I continued my education by completing 18 credit-hours of Slingerland instruction via San Diego University. I also earned my master's equivalency and middle-level science certification.
When I'm able to carve out some free time for myself, I enjoy cycling, photography, and reading.
I am a big fan of Yoda and agree wholeheartedly with the little green Jedi's grammatically-awkward declaration:
"Truly wonderful, the mind of a child is."
