School Police Officer
Mr. Timothy Sprowls
Hello to all in the Berlin Brothersvalley School District community. It's my honor to serve the district as the School Police Officer (SPO). I began this calling in January, 2022 and look forward to school year 2025-26. As an Alum of BBSD, I have come full circle back to my roots. Listed below are my life credentials for being in the position of SPO:
- Graduate of Berlin Brothersvalley Schools, class of 1983.
- Graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania, 1987, B.S. in Media Communication. U.S. Army ROTC Commission to 2nd Lt.
- Served in the U. S. Army Reserves as an Officer from 1987 - 1995, final rank of Captain, Military Intelligence Corps.
- Served 26 years as a Pennsylvania State Trooper in various capacities. Retired with the rank of Corporal. 1990-2016.
-Served 5 1/2 years with Somerset County Adult Probation department overseeing the Day Reporting Center program.
SCHOOL POLICE OFFICER GOALS:
-- LAW ENFORCEMENT -- PUBLIC SAFETY EDUCATOR -- INFORMAL COUNSELOR / MENTOR
